Supporting A Gift for Teaching

Partners Federal Credit Union is proud to team up with The Walt Disney Company annually to help prepare and celebrate students and schools as they return for the new school year through “A Gift for Teaching” in Florida.

All Florida express and branch locations participated as drop-off sites for school supplies. Together, they collected 288 packages and items to be delivered to A Gift For Teaching, 118 more than last year! Cash donations can made at A Gift for Teaching’s website, and a donation of $25 or more is being matched by The Walt Disney Company when logged on the VoluntEARS site.

A Gift for Teaching's website says that students at more than 70% of Orange and Osceola County public schools lack the school supplies they need to be successful, and teachers often spend their own money to supply them.  A Gift For Teaching not only maintains a brick-and-mortar shop where teachers can select school supplies without charge, they can also accommodate a curbside pickup option, and have a mobile shop called "The Pencil Boy Express" they can use to reach out to teachers in remote areas.
