Believe the Journey – The Frozen II Event

Do you wanna build a snowman? Or in this case, a snowflake?

Winter is approaching fast and so is Disney’s new film, Frozen II, opening on November 22nd From now until November 23, The Disney Store will feature an imaginative interactive program celebrating the release of the new film. This a fun filled event intended for families with children ages 3 and up, but all are welcome.

I suggest you go early because the event will get crowded very quickly.

I arrived at the Disney Store in the Glendale Galleria just in time to catch the 3pm show. As I walked around a bit, I came across a winter themed display found near the center of the store. This display served as a mini theater for the event, complete with a large screen adorned with Frozen II graphics. As I expected, the theater space filled quickly with participants excited to enter the world of Frozen and be a part of the show. Our host, a lively Cast Member sporting one of our snazzy Partners’ Frozen 2 shirts, started the adventure.

It turned out that the main event featured a fun game which let you step into the Frozen world of Arendelle. As you joined Elsa, Anna, Olaf and friends on an adventure throughout the forest, you are immediately engaged on a quest! Our young adventures found themselves avoiding giants, riding magical horses and swimming in the sea all in a race to answer Frozen story trivia and collect 4 elemental crystals: Wind, Water, Fire and Earth.

Our host was very much as involved, cheerfully narrating the story up on the screen. Our host joined the kids and travelled alongside our Frozen heroes, running through the forests, hiding from giants, and laughing.

Parents joined in too, wearing Olaf noses and taking pictures much to the delight of everyone involved.

At the end of the adventure, the kids took all 4 crystals and in a satisfying conclusion to the adventure built their very own snowflake ornament!

If I were a kid, I certainly can see myself joining in the fun! Who doesn’t want to build their very own snowflake?

The final Disney Store Frozen 2 event is November 23rdat 3pm. Children are encouraged to dress in their Frozen 2 costume or are able to purchase one at the event! The event is free, children must be accompanied by an adult, and an RSVP is required which you place at the event. Check your local Disney Store for details.

Come on, go and play!
